2016 - First national summit for panela producers in Colombia. Conference offered by Cannexion: “Hacia el Mercado Canadiense. Retos y Oportunidades”. FEDEPANELA- Bogota.
Cannexion was invited by the Colombian Federation of Panela Producers (FEDEPANELA), to provide a
conference on how to get access to the Canadian market, and learn more about Canadian consumers
and their needs. Cannexion also addressed the different challenges that Colombia could have with this
product (panela) in the Canadian market, as well as the opportunities available. In 2014, Cannexion
brought (under a project managed by IICA-Canada) some stakeholders of the panela industry to meet
with potential buyers.
